About Me
- Name: Steve Cater
- Location: Salt Lake City, UT, US
Originally from West Virginia. I started rock climbing at Cooper's Rock and Seneca while in college at West Virginia University in 1982. Wrote a guidebook for the New in 1991 with Hassan Saab and started a climbing school (New River Mountain Guides) in 1994 with Roxanna Brock. I sold the guide service in 2000 to several of the guides. In total I spent about 10 years in Fayetteville. Moved to Salt Lake City in 2000, worked a few years and then went back to school to earn a Master's Degree. I currently live in Salt Lake City.
